Switch-over to New Hosting Provider

I’m pleased to announce that the switch-over to a new hosting provider has been completed successfully! This website is now free of the chains of shared hosting and is running on a much more powerful VPS. This should be noticeable instantly with much faster page loading times, especially with the WordPress part of the site (blog entries). The frequent periods of extremely slow loading times (>10 seconds) that have been plaguing this site should be a thing of the past now as stability should be greatly improved with the new muscle under the hood. I also chose a data center in Texas, closer to the main user-base of this site in the southeastern United States, allowing faster access for those of you in that region.

This new server will also open doors for me to design more products to generate and publish on this site. Right now most of my scripts are still down and many of them are being overhauled and replaced. Don’t rely on the storm information page or the analysis tools page to deliver up-to-date data for the next few days. New updates will be posted in the about section, including notifications of when the mentioned product pages come back online.
