Thank you for the update Levi. How will Helene compare to Michael of 2018. Similar location

  • Thank you so much!!

Levi thank you! Working in a Lab here in Charleston SC, we highly depend on, and value, your no-nonsense scientific explanations of what is going on.

Hi Dr, As the storm nears the big bend, you say there will be as much as 25 knots of shear. If the storm is moving to the north at a clip of 20 or so knots away from the shear, does it neutralize the effects of the shear?…. Thank for your outstanding videos. D

After going through hurricane Michael on October 10, 2018, I didn’t want to take any chances. I’m in Pensacola, Florida for a couple of days. Thank you for your calm delivery of our weather forecast. I, for one appreciate you. Have a blessed day and night, too.

Thank you so much for this invaluable service to the public. I trust you more than my local meteorologists. You provide a full picture with lots of detail without losing your audience to too much jargon. I feel I’ve learned so much about how these tropical systems work because of you. I’ve shared your website with so many people. Thank you for caring enough to do this.

  • Larry says:

I have followed your hurricane analysis for about 5 years.

I find that you explain the big picture with sufficient detail so that I have a good understanding of how and why a hurricane is moving the way it is moving.

I also recommend Tropical Tidbits to my friends.

  • As an avid weather watcher, your detailed yet easy to understand analysis of tropical weather is my go-to source after I watch my local news station.
