We are in Hamilton, Bermuda. My father in law went to check on his boat before the storm got here but did not return. To dangerous to go look for him now. Cell phones have no coverage. We have gotten gust over 100 mph. A lot of homes are damaged as I can see from the window. Lost power early on. Have enough generator power for 4 days. Usually lose power for a week. All of the tourist left before the storm got here
Levi,
Could you, in your next post, if there is another tropical storm, comment on the impact of the North Atlantic cooling. From what I understand, the reason is unknown, and it is swift, and it is effecting the computer models in ways that have never been experienced before.

Thank you Dr Levi. Daytona Beach.
Interesting day … even with all dry air wrapped into core today this thing looks on brink of rapid intensification… thoughts….
how many freaking times can an island a third the size of pinellas get hit directly while pinellas still hasn’t seen one in over a hundred years
seven.
Bermuda’s had seven landfalls since the year Pinellas was last hit, and many more close shaves.
sorry, not one third the size
one thirtieth.

hey – im from Bermuda this one is tough as it is over us for so long currently half the island has lost power.
praying for you all, looks to me like yet another direct hit.
How do you all weather storms this frequently?
