Minor point, and not even worth mentioning. Levi gives us the best, most informative weather information. It’s rude and ungrateful to make an issue out of something so unimportant.
The high sea surface temperature off the US east coast will provide water vapor for the hurricane.
You are my family’s favorite and most reliable meteorologist out there- thank you!

my kids understand your videos and what’s happening in the tropics.
I’m not quite sure how I feel about the comment above (referring to their need for proper name pronunciation of a hurricane).

Most could care less how anyone accentuates it because most feel it’s a storm- it’s on the map and it’s coming at me.

I wish I had found this BLOG before Hurricane Michael pulverized my city. Thank you, Dr. Levi. I will be using your site exclusively in the future for my hurricane information.
The hurricane’s eye has passed over the largest island of the Bahamas and enters the open waters.
The hurricane’s external winds are already reaching the southern tip of Florida.

Levi’s website/blog is a tremendous resource for some like me trying to learn about the science of meteorology. The education and information I get from it is tremendous. So glad I found it.

BTW Joe believes that though the storm is weakening as I write this it will come back and be a CAT II by the time it gets off the east coast of Florida.
