Thank you so much for your informative update. Will be watching this one closely and will be looking forward to seeing the ocean in Kennebunk Maine! (Hoping Bermuda fairs ok and everyone remains safe.)
This will be hitting closer to home base up North in Maine than I would like, since the wind field keeps spreading wider and wider; but at least we can count on the decreased overall storm intensity, in the coming days.
Nothing has been said yet about storm surge. The ME news seems to be downplaying what the dangerous effects can be, between storm surge, several inches of rain in very short periods of time … very real possibility for power outages from falling limbs, downed trees, etc.
Time to do those storm preparations. We have extra fuel for the generator, test fired it, are bringing in garden furniture, etc.
Hoping those on the immediate coast in Maine and Canada will be ok from storm surge and beach erosion.
I was born in a place with many storms, but have never faced a major storm. When I was young, I really liked it when the storm ended, the weather was so beautiful.

Thank you from New England!
Your updates are always terrific and informative!
My thoughts are Irene in 2011, & Sandy in 2012.
At least this one isn’t going to New York!
