Could Irma become our firdt Cat 6? The unprecedented way she has gained strength is this possible?
There is no Cat 6, a Cat 5 is defined as 157 mph or greater.
There’s been talk of adding a cat 6, although not sure of purpose?
Global warming is pushing the limits. Cat 5 may want a senior neighbor if things keep worsening.
I seem to recall that a Cat 6 was mentioned a few years ago when, I think it was Luis, or some other Cat 5 hit, Guyana or some other South American country. The devastation caused there, brought forth the mention of a Cat 6, which would indicate the huge cost of the destruction caused to the affected area. But I haven’t heard anything official about a Cat 6, since then.
You do know there were horrible devastating storms years before people started blaming global warming. Just please stop.
If you intend to try and relate cloud cover, precipitation and storms to Global warming:
Warming implies less cloud cover, less precipitation etc.
Global cooling is more cloud cover, more precipitation etc.
you have your cause and effect mixed up.
Many say Climate Change is not real. Please explain the rise of natural disaster. Natural disasters are occurring at a rate of 5x more than in 1970s.
So explain why the 40’s and 50’s were more active than present day??
Levi I’m really thankful to you for keeping us inform about the weather. Thank so much.
Levi, a question please. This storm is moving westward at top speed of 180 mph at 11 AM EST. Can it head for East Texas at this point? Thanks so much.
Are you going to do an audio analysis today?
Hi Levi, Can you explain why the CMC is so much farther west than the others? Thanks
Hi Levi, I really like your informative videos. Keep up the great work!
Thank you, Levi. So appreciate your work. Keep you and your family safe. your friend, Chris
Levi,
I have pushed your analysis on Reddit to try and get the word out there to the people in the Islands and Florida. Your analysis is remarkable in its thoroughness and depth.
You and your work are saving peoples lives!
Many thanks,
SA
Hey, Levi, Watching Irma from Charleston.
As the office weather geek, I try to keep the folks at work updated and informed. I refer them to your site, as a place to find good info.
Levi, Enjoying your excellent forecasts. Do you incorporate NWS 7 day in your estimates?

Levi; you have a great augmentation to NOAA and National Waether Service. Greta info, and instructive summaries (you will make meteorologists of a big audience!).
A lot of people are watching Irma, and Jose, too, through your site.
Many, many thanks!
Is the Euro or the GFS historically more accurate?
In Sarasota, stations running out of gas, water gone from stores. waiting for my Levi Report, wish all of Florida luck, or any area who might take direct hit.
It’s a monster,
Pop,s Sarasota Florida, 37 FT Tayana sailboat, on mooring ball but moving to mangroves. if I have too.
Thanks Levi,

Levi,
Don’t leave us hangin’.
Will there be an update today? Those of us who hang out is SW FL are sweating bullets right now.
My buddy flies one of the hurricane hunter planes for the USAF and he’s the one who steered me here. That’s a pretty damn good reference.
So, update? Please??
Thanks.
