Will this storm make its way to Louisiana as anything significant?? And which model do you trust going with.
If Harvey moves northeastward toward Louisiana, it’s strength depends entirely on how much time it spends over land vs water getting there. At this time that is highly uncertain. However, heavy rainfall is likely to impact at least SW LA regardless.
As always, appreciate the insight.
Great job Levi! Your updates/tidbits/knowledge/professionalism are so much appreciated…Thank you!
Thanks for the update Levi!
Thanks I’ll continue watching from MORGAN city Louisiana.
Thanks I’ll continue watching from MORGAN city la.
How much water is Harvey pushing, & pulling at the moment? And how much rain is expected?
Thanks Levi, appreciate the explanations and tutorials along with all the tools you share. Glad we found you. We recently moved from Port Aransas, TX back to Lake Charles, LA so we have concerns for our Port A family as well as Southwest LA. Thanks again!
I have sons named Levi and Dustin…lol
Great post as always Levi. Is there any chance that Harvey could move East and follow 92L North, off the Eastern US Coast?
Thanks Levi
Thanks Levi
Always look forward to your post.
Gregg
Is there a GOOD chance Harvey will be cat 4 on landfall, Levi? What does it mean for Houston if that happens?
Levi and NHC get the job done. Grati-dude!
Thanks Levi.. I was looking at “storm total” from the Brownsville radar.. somewhere offshore, within 124 nm there is a spot over the GOM that has had 50 inches of rain… hanks for all you do Levi!
I think everybody in town now knows that the storm surge is responsible for the most damage and fatalities during a hurricane! Up to 3 miles of the beach puts you in the extreme DANGER zone! Flooding is next in line for fatalities and damage. Fatalities when people get out and drive around in there cars and get swept away and drown. You can always protect yourself from the wind, generally speaking, by just staying in doors until it passes!
Levi,
Excellent information. You have replaced Crown as my go to guy for all things tropical. I appreciate your dedication and insight
Levi,
Did you notice that Harvey is strengthening faster than the models are forecasting?
My worrisome thoughts are, the hurricane is starting to develop rapidly, and could be a category 4 at landfall which will be early Saturday morning. Most definitely the electricity will be out for days in that whole area. Maybe for months.
Good work!
I dropped a few coins your way on PayPal
I hope others do also.
Cheers
Pablo
