[August 13] Tropical Depression Eight Forms – No Threat to Land
Tropical Depression Eight has formed in the southwestern Atlantic. Environmental conditions should allow some strengthening during the next couple of days. The depression is being steered northward along the western periphery of the subtropical ridge, and will pass between Bermuda and the United States during the next few days, well away from any land areas.
